Hello!

Thanks so much for finding your way to my page. I first want to say; If you are here to see an album that includes your child, grandchild, teammate, coach (or maybe a coach looking for sizing up another team-haha!) — I am honored.
My name is Melanie, I am 31 years young and I am a mother of three, a traveling nurse, and a natural light hobby photographer. My family and I have transplanted from the state of Delaware to a small town in Eastern Kentucky in May 2021. We raise our three children- Jacob (12), Oliver ( almost 4) and Estella (almost 2). When we moved from Delaware to Kentucky, I left my camera in the bag for 3 whole years- only coming out of “retirement” for 2 weddings back at home for friends I committed to previously… I didn’t have clientele anymore and I figured that chapter of my life was finished— all 12 years of photography just abruptly wrapped up….
Until I decided I was going to mess around and take a few photos one day at an Evangel Christian School basketball game and I thought “hey- I kind of like this.”
When I was younger- I was never a great athlete; probably mediocre if not below average. Every time the yearbook came out- I was looking for a picture of me in action. Often- there were slim to none but when there was, you couldn’t tell me a thing! I was cool in that black and white printed school year book and my confidence was through the roof (even though my tongue was sticking out of my mouth trying to catch a softball… ha!)
I am on a mission to expose all levels of student athletes, teammates, teams and even coaches - all while building their confidence and highlighting their elite talent. I will be updating my schedule and availability under my Where To Next? tab up at the top of this page frequently, so please check back for often updates. I love when these kids are in my DM’s asking me to send them their photos or when I see them repost pictures of themselves that I took; so here I am- promoting these awesome student athletes and mentors that lead them! I think the world is so cruel and I want to show positivity to these kids; if they could just see how we see them as parents, caregivers and mentors.

If you made it this far; thanks for sticking it out!
Sincerely;
MelRose.
